Intermar is a Shipping Brokerage company founded in Chile in 1960.

For almost 60 years Intermar has been involved in the negotiation and administration of many Contracts of Affreightment (COA’s) as well as in competitive brokerage on dry bulk cargoes and vessels, on behalf of different Shippers, Charterers and Shipowners.

Intermar’s staff is composed by well experienced professionals with long experience working in different fields of the shipping industry, with successful careers on the Shipowners’ side.

As from June 2012, Intermar opened an office in Peru, a joint venture with Transmeridian, an important Peruvian company involved in different fields of the shipping business.

This office strengthened Intermar’s presence in the WCSA even more.
